The posters are complemented by a book exhibition showcasing publications from the last five years. <\/p>\n\n

From chatbots to deepfakes, AI-generated content is becoming increasingly commonplace online. New AI tools make creating text, images, and videos faster, cheaper, and easier. However, online dangers like fraud, harassment, polarisation, and prejudice are now exacerbated by AI.<\/p>\n\n

AI is used to create fake news, simulate reality, and influence public opinion and behaviour in ways that are almost impossible to detect. AI models, trained on creators\u2019 biases, reinforce stereotypes, with consequences extending beyond the digital world. How can we stay informed about this rapidly evolving technology?<\/p>\n\n

“Amplified by AI” is a creative initiative designed by Tactical Tech and DensityDesign Lab (Politecnico di Milano) in collaboration with IFLA. The exhibition illustrates how AI shapes the creation, dissemination, and use of media and information through a playful, interactive format showcased via Tactical Tech\u2019s award-winning The Glass Room project.<\/p>\n\n

This accessible large-scale exhibition, ideal for libraries, community centres, universities, festivals, and museums, includes interactive posters and two books simplifying complex issues. Supplementary information and websites offer practical guidance for addressing online challenges.<\/p>\n\n

Starting in November 2024, the exhibition will be displayed in 50 libraries across Europe, including Estonia’s Estonian Aviation Academy Library, Tallinn Libraries, TalTech Library, Academic Library of Tallinn University, and the University of Tartu Library.<\/p>\n\n

The project runs until 1 March 2025 and is funded by the European Media and Information Fund (EMIF). In Estonia, the initiative is implemented by the Estonian Librarians\u2019 Association Youth Club.<\/p>\n\n
