READ JAPAN donation has reached the Research Library once more

Mr. Kollist (director of TLU Academic Library) and Mr. Miyata (Counsellor of the Embassy of Japan in Estonia)

On the 7th of May, Mr. Miyata, Counsellor of the Embassy of Japan in Estonia, and the Cultural Attaché, Mr. Ikeda, visited the Research Library for an official book handover ceremony of books donated to the Academic Library of Tallinn University as part of the project READ JAPAN 2025.

The Nippon Foundation’s READ JAPAN project aims to promote understanding of Japan through books by donating English-language books about Japanese society, history, culture, and more to universities and libraries around the world. TLU Academic Library has previously received donations in the framework of this project in 2018 and 2023.

This time, 17 books arrived at the Academic Library, which can be viewed at the new literature exhibition in the Research Library until the end of May and at the Study Centre starting from June. By placing a hold, You can be sure that the newly gifted book will be Yours to read in no time.
